FAQs

What is the investment?

I offer a variety of packages depending on what you are wanting out of your session. Feel free to contact me about the type of session you are wanting, and I will send over all information. Discounts are available for returning clients and Penn State students/alumni.

Do you take a deposit?

Yes! I require a $200 non-refundable deposit for every session at the time of booking.  You will pay your remaining balance at the end of your session.

What form of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, and PayPal.

How far in advance should I book?

I typically have my books open 1-2 months in advance. Once you inquire you will be directed to my scheduling page. If no dates area available, email me or check back in at a later date.

What is a headshot session?

A headshot is technically a type of portrait, but one that focuses on facial imagery. These are the types of photos that are industry accepted for auditions.

What is a portrait/branding session?

These are an absolute complete blast because they are meant to express who you are and how you want the world to see you. With this session, we can get more creative with what we do and you have a huge say on the ideas and concepts for this shoot.

What do I wear?

Headshots: I recommend wearing what you would wear to an audition. Think of characters you are often called in for, and tailor your looks towards that.

Portrait/Branding: Wear whatever makes you happy and makes you feel confident.

Other sessions: I recommend any muted tones. This doesn't mean at all you can't have fun with different colors, muted tones just tend to work out the best. Try to avoid logos and insane patterns.

What is a "look"?

A "look" is a combo of your hair/make-up/wardrobe and the lighting/background we are shooting. For example, you may want one look to be a quirky/geeky look, while another one to be dramatic and dark.

If you bring light layers (jackets, cardigans, etc.) they will not count as separate looks.

What is your reschedule policy?

I offer ONE free reschedule before 48 hours of your session. Non-emergency reschedules within 48 hours of your session will result in an additional deposit fee to confirm your new date. No shows will result in a fee worth half your total session rate.

How and when do I get my proofs and final edits?

For headshots, expect to get your proofs back in 7-10 days after our session in an online gallery through my website. Once you have selected the images you would like retouched, expect your retouched images to come back in another 7-10 days.

For every other session, expect your proofs back in 10-14 days in an online gallery through my website.

Can I have the RAW images from my session?

No. Editing is a huge part of the process and sending the RAW images would be like sending half of the experience. Consistency is a part of my brand and I can't have unedited photos out there on the internet with my name attached to them.

Do I have to get my images retouched?

I highly recommend it! It's helpful when guiding the viewer directly to your eyes. It's great to get rid of distractions that might take away from the most important part of the image: YOU.  I'm not a fan of over-retouching images so don't worry about the retouched images not looking like you.

Can I bring a friend/significant other with me?

Those under the age of 18 are highly encouraged to bring a parent/guardian with them to the shoot. Please let me know if you absolutely need to bring someone with you, otherwise I would prefer if you didn't.

Where do your sessions take place?

My indoor headshot sessions take place in my in home studio! I’ve created a fun, welcoming and inviting space that is filled with lots of room to explore!

Any outdoor sessions will take place at a location we decide on prior to your session day.

Can we chat before our session?

Absolutely! I don't mind chatting at all. I am an open book about all things for your session so if you would like to schedule a phone call to chat about goals, wardrobe, policy and terms, or anything we can 100% make that happen. Just let me know!
